Big fight coming up this weekend, and I’m really excited about it. The entire card for UFC 82 is gonna be stacked; even the undercard has some very recognizable names on it, such as Josh Koscheck, Diego Sanchez, and Andrei Arlovski.
The big questions for the event are all from current middleweight champion Anderson Silva. He’ll be taking on Dangerous Dan Henderson, a man with an Olympic pedigree and a history of right hand knockouts.
While Silva may be - strike that, he IS - the best striker in MMA, Henderson has one of the hardest heads in the sport, and strength and wrestling experience that will allow him to dominate Silva in the clinch.
Henderson’s problems are two-fold:
- Will his over-confidence in his right hand lure him into a striking battle with Silva? If so, he will likely be TKO’ed in about the third round.
- Will Silva’s technical skills on the ground be able to overcome Henderson’s control from the top?
Should Henderson be able to solve these two situations, we’ll be looking at a new champion on Saturday night.
