UFC 75 Was Crap

UFC 75 was pure crap. And I blame it all on one HORRIBLE ending: Micheal Bisping over Matt Hamill via split decision. There is no way Bisping won that fight. He got dominated throughout. There is an ever-slim possibility that he won round 3, but no doubt that he was overwhelemed in rounds 1 and 2. No possible way that he could have won the fight. Leave it to the ridiculous English to do something stupid like that… I thought we straightened those suckers out with the Boston Tea Party, but they just get dumber and dumber. Bisping and his loyals are a perfect example.

Rampage and Henderson was a great fight. Very evenly matched. Both fighters neutralized each other and made for a (let’s be honest) boring fight if you aren’t a big fan and student of the game.

CroCop looked horrible again. Did he get injured at the end of round 1? He charged and stalked Kongo the whole 1st round, even mounted him to end the round. But rounds 2 and 3 saw CroCop retreating and eating repeated body kicks from the massive Frenchman. Easy decision win for Kongo. CroCop is in bad trouble…

I was very impressed with the “Irish Hand Grenade” Marcus Davis, though. He showed an excellent example of why Mixed Martial Arts is simply the most amazing sport in the world, transitioning from ground-and-pound to jujitsu seamlessly and finishing with a flawless, tight armbar. Beautiful fight.

But Bisping is a turd. Hamil is the real winner for sure. Am I the only one who saw this? Everyone who watched the fight with me was absolutely floored when they announced the decision to Bisping. Hamill is the real deal and he whipped that English turd. Unbelievable. But, you know what? Finish and this never happens, Hamill.

Shame…

  1. The rampage/henderson fight was fixed. In the fourth round henderson got elbow control and was in position to make a full body armbar. He was so very in position all he had to do was extend his legs that he would have put rampage into submission. He is an excellent submission style pride fighter and undoubtably knows how to perform a full-body armbar. And what happened? He let go. HE LET GO. He was paid to let rampage keep his title. Hell, he’s almost thirty, he doesn’t want to keep fighting anyway. He just wanted to get paid off. Still, from now on I will always know that UFC is a turd sandwich not only because the refs let the fighters clench for three solid minutes, but because the fighters throw the fights. Bad form, henderson. You should have fought.

  2. I agree, Hamill was robbed of his victory here. He clearly dominated the matches. I think the judges were bought out. Some rich English dude payed the judges off before the fight. This should be a scandal if I’ve ever seen one, lets hope the media picks up on it.

  3. There is no doubt that Hamill did win the fight, BUT the 2 judges that scored it for Bisbing where both from America and the 1 judge that scored it for Hamill was from the uk.

Typical American blaming others for your country’s mistakes

  4. there’s no way either of the fights were fixed. there was definite bias in favor of bisping, but no fixing of the outcome, methinks.

as far as henderson and rampage… that armbar was in there. the problem is that rampage can power through that stuff. he had henderson stacked up on his neck and was able to yank his arm out of there twice. think back to the arona fight (over in pride); he was caught dead in a triangle until he powered up sent arona VERTICAL and then finished it with the most amazing slam i’ve ever seen.

while henderson was working for the armbar, rampage was working for a deep hold on his OWN arm so that he could posture up with dan and slam him. watch the tape again. henderson was apparently conscious of that and was trying to prevent it, keeping him from stretching out that armbar.

  5. The fights weren’t fixed; it was clearly a case of retardism from the judges though. Hamill won clearly in my opinion so who knows what the judges saw that caused Bisping’s hand to be raised. Personally, I can’t stand Bisping, I think he had a weak group of guys in the Ultimate Fighter 3 and plus I just can’t stand his accent, but that’s my opinion. Moving on to the highlight of the night, for me that is. No it wasn’t the great comeback from “Irish Hand Grenade” that ended the fight with a beautiful armbar, nor was it a great fight between the best of Pride and the best of UFC. The highlight for me was none other than the raw unrelenting force known as Houston Alexander. Houston Alexander is the real deal and in my opinion is the future of the light heaveyweight division. His knees and punches are among the nastiest and most violent that I have seen in a while, but it is his passion that draws me to watch him. I have no doubt in my mind that he would fight anyone anytime and that’s why Houston Alexander has been placed in the box of fighters that I want to watch everytime he fights. In his debut he made “The dean of mean”, who knocked out Forrest Griffin, look like it was his first time in the octagon. Liddell vs Alexander…the winner gets Rampage.
